Quds’ liberation to compensate for Martyr Soleimani’s blood: IRGC commander

Pakdasht, IRNA – The liberation of the holy city of al-Quds in the occupied Palestine and the withdrawal of the US forces from the West Asia region would be the right compensation for the assassination three years ago of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, says an IRGC commander.

Mohammad Reza Naqdi, who serves as Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ deputy for coordination, said in a ceremony in Pakdasht near Tehran late on Sunday that the school of thought of Martyr Soleimani lighted the path for all freedom-seeking nations of the world to cut off the influence of the global arrogance.

“Today, the people of the Islamic Iran and all freedom-seekers of the world must finish Martyr Soleimani’s unfinished task … which is to liberate the dignified Quds, to eliminate (the Zionist regime of) Israel and to cut the hands of the US from the region,” Naqdi said.

He said the US and the Zionist regime continue to use numerous media outlets to portray General Soleimani, who was a flagbearer in fighting terrorism, as a terrorist, adding that the global arrogance plans to distort realities in Iran and to introduce Iran, a country where leaders and members of main government institutions are elected by people’s vote, as a dictatorship.

Naqdi said Iran’s enemies have failed to pursue their agenda of confronting Iran through war, terrorism, cultural warfare and economic pressure, adding that they have resorted to some 200 TV channels to launch a massive propaganda campaign against the Islamic Republic.

He said the Americans have never set up similar campaigns to affect peoples’ minds in Russia and China which are the two main rivals of the US in terms of economic and military power.
